Kanani's Photo Shoot!

Today I decided to do a photo shoot with Kanani! I am really, really, really trying to make my photography better (lighting choices, angles, zoom options, etc.). So really, just the overall quality of the picture. I looked back through some of my photo stories and realized that the pictures aren't as clear (whether pixelated, blurry, dark, etc.) as I'd like them to be, so I am working on it! Prepare for some really improved pictures in the near future! In fact, I'm already happy with my improvement from today's photo shoot!
Here's Kanani! She's super excited for tomorrow's Labor Day picnic! In fact, she's trying on the new hat that Payton got her! Kanani is a bit of a fashion girl - a beachy fashion girl and she wants to be "best dressed" at this party!

She's already practicing her sunbathing poses! Not that she needs to sunbathe, she already has her wonderful tan!

Her outfit - a white vest paired with a red graphic shirt! As you can probably tell, the theme of her outfit is red and white!

The star on her amazing pants! (I love how I captured the red that is outlining the star! It looks so vibrant in this photo, doesn't it?

Kanani - taking a nap. She wants to be lively and not tired for the picnic tomorrow!

Her beautiful curls! (I fixed her hair up a bit - it is no longer all scraggly. If you want to know how I did it, to be honest, I just spritzed it and finger curled it and it worked like a charm!)

The logo on her stylish vest!

Lying with a dog! (He is not my dog - he's not mine, he's my grandparents dog - he's at my aunt's house there, though!

With some flowers!
What do you think?
Info on this photo shoot:
Outfit:
Vest: Weekend Fun Outfit - AG
Shirt: AG Washington D.C. Exclusive
Pants: AG Store Exclusive
Hat: Bitty Baby Picnic Outfit (or something like that)

Camera Used: Olympus Tough - Shockproof/Waterproof

Things I Learned from this Shoot:
Lighting - always do shots as near to the sun as possible. Nearly all the shots featured in this shoot were right next to or underneath a window or slider (sliders are preferable as they are like huge windows and let in tons of light)
NO zooming in - Zooming in seems to make it more pixelated or blurry - even when you are far away. I am going to try to not use zoom unless absolutely necessary (which should not be often).

Two lessons learned and many shots taken! YAY! Enjoy!
