2 Outfits, 2 Dolls, 1 Skirt: A Photo Shoot & Outfit of the Day Combo

Thank you to everyone who enjoyed The Library Dog trilogy photostory! I got more positive feedback than ever before on that story - I am trying to think of others that I can do like it! In the meantime, I got Felicity & Grace into similar clothing and decided to do a cute late fall/early winter photo shoot using a new background; my green front door! I hope you enjoy it!

Please let me know which doll's outfit you liked the best - I'd love to know!
This is just a quick photo to show the tops of Felicity & Grace's outfits. Felicity is wearing the shirt from that Play Jumper AG made, and Grace is wearing the shirt from the Weekend Fun Outfit. I really personally like the green background and I am thinking of doing it more often. What does everyone think? These are outside photos by the way.
The skirts, you may notice, are missing their pink ties. I actually am not a huge fan of the little pink bands around the waist of the skirt, so I turned the skirt over and it still looks good, I think!
The skirt goes SO well with Grace's Meet Outfit Boots.
The two girls with their matching skirts. Both Jasmine and Payton came with this skirt because they are MAG dolls, so that is why I have two of them, in case anyone was wondering. ;P
Felicity's outfit is really cute, and as you can see here, she is using the boots from the same outfit her top came from. I am really having a hard time deciding which girl's outfit I like better.
Grace decided to pose like a model...She is really coming out of her comfort zone and becoming louder and more confident here at AG Farms with the other girls. She is kind of secretly wishing that she wouldn't have to go back to Paris, because she doesn't ever want to leave the friends she met here; even if they do fight sometimes.
"Step right up on the green catwalk, Lissie," Grace laughed, helping Felicity step over the giant step.

"Alright, alright, I guess I will before you start talking to me in more 'fashionista' language. I don't why I agreed to get dressed up in this crazy skirt and take photos! I should be training Penny for the horse show!" Felicity complained, but she was really actually happy to be taking pictures in the crisp air with her friend.

"Oh Lissie," Grace shook her head and laughed.
Did anyone notice that they actually both have the same hairstyle - a high ponytail with a braid on their right side. I think it looks best on Grace because of the way the braid goes above the side bangs, but the hairstyle looks pretty good on both girls. What do you think?
I know that Grace is in the front of all of these pictures and she seems to be the star of the shoot, which is, I hate to admit it, kind of true. I just really liked her outfit more than Lissie's - though don't tell Felicity!
Winter Shoes.

Even though this photo doesn't even show my dolls, just their shoes, I still love it! In fact, it might be one of my favorite photos! I just love the little bow on Grace's shoes, and Felicity's shoes look pretty good in the back. I remember not really liking Grace's meet boots at first, but now I love them!

I hope you enjoyed the photoshoot as much as I enjoyed creating it! To those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving here in the USA, Happy Thanksgiving! To those of you who don't, Happy Winter!

Please let me know in the comments which doll's outfit you like best. I want to know which one to do a photoshoot with once it snows (if it snows)!

Costume Idea #3

I know that I didn't post a costume idea yesterday, but I've just decided that I probably, realistically cannot post a new costume idea every single day. But, I'll try! Anyway, here is Costume Idea 3:

Pippi Longstocking!

A lot of people know her; whether you know the books, the Swedish television show, etc. Whatever it is, most people tend to have at least some idea of who she is.
For me, well, I've grown up with Pippi Longstocking in my life! In fact, I received a Pippi rag doll and book for my 4th birthday! I got the DVD set of the television show out of my library when I was around that age too (I know that there are cartoons, movies, and more made about Pippi, but the only one that I've seen is the 60s/70s television show/movies that were made in Sweden and are in a different language with English dubbed in. XD They are really good; I recommend them)
Anyway, the point is, I LOVE Pippi. (Who doesn't?) Everything about her is just so exciting! A while back, I made a costume for her, and I believe I even made a blog post about it, but that costume/version of Pippi just isn't as good (I don't think) as the one that I made today!
Anyway, here is today's costume:

Here she is! Felicity loves being Pippi; both girls are so similar!
For the costume, I used Julie's Original Meet Outfit (pre-Beforever) tunic, and a pair of denim shorts to go under it (I think they are from Julie's Patchwork Outfit).
The apron is from my Pippi ragdoll, but the apron isn't necessary for the costume; and you could always make one out of paper or something too!
For the shoes and socks, I made socks out of construction paper. If you have ever seen the show, you probably recognize these as socks that Pippi wears all the time! I know that construction paper is certainly not sock material, but it works!
I used Josefina's Meet Outfit shoes, though they look too small.
I know that the original Pippi is supposed to have freckles, so I got out my construction paper and double sided tape and made a...
DISASTER! XD
Those do NOT look like freckles at all. At least I tried. XD I was too scared to watercolor her skin. XD
Needless to say, these freckles were quickly removed. They might look okay if I had down them smaller.
Pippi looking down at the camera.
I made the braids stand straight out by braiding her hair really tightly and holding it in that position for a short time. It made her hair really easy to bend and shape. I would not keep her braids in this position for too long though.

Felicity was really getting into character!
"I am Pippi Longstocking..."

Payton, Felicity, & Grace
Here are the #3 costumes so far! Without me telling anyone, I bet you can guess what each one is! XD
I think that ending picture may become my header picture. I just love the costumes together!

Lissie & Payton on the Beach!

My wonderful neighbors/friends invited us to their beach house that is only 4-5 hours away! We couldn't pass that up, so we left on Friday afternoon, spent the night, spent all of Saturday, spent another night, and then we finally got home today in the early afternoon! I had a great time! It wasn't exactly overly sunny or warm so I didn't really go swimming in the ocean, but I collected sea shells and walked on the boardwalk! I had a great time and I was able to bring two dolls (Felicity and Payton). I only took 7 pictures of them - and nowhere near the ocean because it was too rough, but I still thought I'd share - the pictures are pretty cool! Remember, as always with every photo shoot, I'd love to hear your comments, concerns, questions, and ideas to make my photography better!

This is Payton in Julie's Patchwork Outfit (I believe it is retired?). I used the bandana/head scarf that came with the outfit to tie around her messy bun. I figured out how to do perfect buns in my dolls' hair and now I am obsessed with it!
Her head got kind of cut off in this picture, but it was a nice shot of the outfit, I think
I love this picture because she has the sandy dunes behind her. It was really windy out and she fell face first into the sand right after I took this pic. I was super frantic and I kind of panicked when the sand got near her eye, but it all ended well. :P
Felicity's outfit is my absolute favorite and I'm going to post it later as an Outfit of the Day probably. I love her bun with the bandana (Julie's Calico Outfit) tied around it.

More of Lissie against the sand dunes. I'm not sure how this picture will turn out online in the end, but on the camera, it looked pretty clear and I was really proud of myself for getting such a clear picture, but things do tend to come out looking different online, so I don't know if it is actually clear.

Felicity's feet in the sand next to the vines on the beach. She was standing on a sort of hill and I had to bury her feet in a little bit.
Of course, Lissie and Payton had to pose for a picture. My favorite picture of the two is below this one.

I just absolutely LOVE this picture. I don't know why, but Felicity and Payton just look so alive and realistic, like they are really having fun.
Of course, after I finished taking this picture, the rain began to pour. Thank goodness I was wearing a sweater and was able to wrap it around them and the camera that my mom is so careful with but she let me borrow. (The camera cannot get wet from the rain)
I had a great time and if my neighbors happen to read this, thank you guys so much for letting us stay with you! Thanks for helping me pose the dolls too - I had a really, really great time!
(For those who are wondering about Sewing Sunday, I have made SOOOO much progress on my dress and it is basically finished, but I was unable to get good pictures of it today, so for this week only, I am going to post Sewing Sunday on Monday! :P)
Thanks for reading my blog!
